Delayed Start or Inclement Weather Procedures
If the WCSD calls a delayed start, the following will occur:
- Phone calls, texts, emails, the WCSD website (www.washoeschools.net), and news reports will inform staff and families.
- Teachers arrive 2 hours later than normal (10:30 AM). Duties are to begin at 10:45 AM.
- Students arrive between 10:45 and 11:00 AM. There will not be any supervision available for students arriving before 10:45 AM.
- Our playground gates will remain closed, and our Winnemucca Wolves will be welcomed through the school’s doors starting at 10:45 AM.
- Our morning duty personnel will be outside to assist and direct students toward the school’s doors.
- Students will walk directly to their classrooms to be welcomed by their classroom teachers.
